MBI Blog Are the Brangelina Twins’ Pics worth $15-20 Million?

Hello All-

Ok, so my wife showed me this article today regarding how the first pictures of the Brangelina Twins will be worth $15-20 Million! Is this a joke? Seriously, our country is in the midst of recession and a company, which has yet to be named, is offering Brangelina how much money? I wonder how many people this company has laid-off this year? To me this is rediculous… especially seeing that these kids will have millions of photos taken of them in their lives!

But, there is a positive here… Brad and Angelina are planning on giving this money to charity! This is an incredible act of selflessness, in my opinion. My hope is that they plan on keeping this donation, or a large percentage, in the hands of the U.S. Citizens who are struggling in these trying times. Either way, if they make this donation, it is a true testiment to their generosity and personal commitment of making the world a better place. My hat is tipped to them!

Also, one more thing, I remember a while back another set of celebrity twins being born and the family getting paid a big sum (no where near this amount) of money and the people kept the check. I will not say their names on this blog, but it sounds like Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony! :-)

Have fun!

MBI Blog Barack Obama

Comments Off

Hello All-

So, first off, I have always considered myself a Republican. I am not exactly sure why… maybe b/c my parents are Republican, maybe it’s because most of my life there has been a Republican in office and/or maybe it’s b/c my personal views lean more towards a Republican standpoint. That said, this will be the first time in my voting life that I am backing a Democrat!

Why am I on the Barack Obama bandwagon? Well, it basically comes down to the following things:

1) Leadership – I personally think Obama is a born leader and it shows. I read somewhere, but can’t remember where so don’t ask, that if you want to see how a person would run a business, then look at how they run their job search. I guess what that means to me is that Obama has run a clean and spectacular campaign. He has more money (coming from the right places), a stronger network and a GREAT plan. Also, he has stood behind what he has said. The only blimishes on his campaign were the Pastor Wright (?) problems and if I had to guess Wright was looking for publicity or was being paid by the oppositions (Clinton’s, McCain or maybe the GOP?).

2) Youth – In comparison to McCain… Obama has this one tied up pretty well. I just feel he will relate to our generation better… enough said.

3) Experience – The big experience question is a good one and obviously McCain has more experience, but I don’t think this is as big a deal as people make it out to be. Why? Because, any great leader (see #1) will surround himself with experienced advisors. With the VP and cabinet made up of the right individuals this is going to be a mute point! Maybe, this is why he is taking his time on the selection of his running mate?

4) Minority – FYI – Barack Obama is black (well, half black) and this is a great thing for the US. It is time for us all to move beyond race, ethnicity, etc. This will be a huge step for our country! One that needs to be made!

5) Public Speaker – Great public speaker! And he probably does very well in private negotiations b/c he thinks before he speaks and is clear in his objectives. I am in sales and understand the importance of being straight forward and respectful in terms of negotiations and also the importance of clarity. These things are very important for this position and should not be taken lightly. George W. Bush is a prime example of the opposite of this… It’s not that George is stupid, he’s actually very bright! He just comes across as a stublebum due to his lacking ability in the genre of #5.

6) Tainted – I feel that Obama has not been tainted by Washington lobbyist’s. I feel that McCain has. In my opinion, all Presidential candidates have their best interest in mind to some degree. But, I would rather have someone in office who has his best interest followed by US Citizens than someone with their’s, then oil companies, then import/export companies, then other elected officials, then US Citizens. Comprende?

7) Change – We need change! Our reputation in the world has seen better days and I feel that following up the current administration with one which will continue “business as usual” is a very bad idea. We need to heal these negative stereotypes! Changing is the first step.

So, that’s my rant! If you have similar, opposite or a mixed opinion on this… tell me about it! I’d love to hear your opinion.

Have fun!
